Delisha Boyd was raised in Uptown New Orleans by her grandparents after the death of her mother and father.
Delisha graduated from Xavier Prep and Southern University at New Orleans with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. She has a Masters in Business Administration from University of Phoenix and is currently completing her doctorate degree.

Delisha has sold nearly 250 million dollars in real estate over her career. She received the New Orleans Metropolitan Association of Realtors Rookie of the Year Award in 2004. Delisha was recently awarded the New Orleans Metropolitan Association of Realtors 2020 Manager of the Year.
Delisha made Algiers her home in 2006. For nearly 15 years, she has been an active member of my community.
Delisha has hosted or co-hosted annual Back to School Giveaways, Easter Basket Giveaways and Turkey Giveaways. She personally adopts families in my community for Thanksgiving and Christmas and provides everything needed to make their holiday seasons complete.
In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, Delisha responded to the call to assist those in need. She supplied hot meals to our front line workers. Along with our newly elected Congressman Troy Carter and other members of the Algiers delegation, Delisha provided nearly 750 meals, donated thousands of masks, and held COVID-19 testing events for the community. In recent months, Delisha has also been a leader in providing opportunities for residents to receive the vaccine.
As your next State Representative, Delisha fights for better and enforceable Fair Housing Guidelines, more avenues for affordable home ownership, and living wages which will open more opportunities for members of our community to achieve the dream of home ownership.
Delisha is a proud mother to Kristen Boyd and has one granddaughter, Reagan Boyd.
